Why Composite Skill Labs Are Becoming Essential in CBSE Schools

According to CBSE guidelines, schools applying for affiliation are expected to establish Composite Skill Labs as part of their infrastructure requirements. Schools can either create one Composite Skill Lab of approximately 600 sq. ft. for Classes VI–XII or two separate labs for different grade groups.

The purpose of these labs is to support multidisciplinary and experiential learning in schools. Students are encouraged to actively work on projects, experiments, models, coding tasks, and innovation-based activities instead of depending only on memorization-based learning.
